DevOps Engineer
What is the role?
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to manage and scale the cloud infrastructure for AyuCI and our suite of management tools. You will be the guardian of our production environments, responsible for ensuring that our medical EMR system is always available, secure, and fast. You will bridge the gap between development and operations by automating our deployment pipelines and managing our cloud resources on AWS and Vercel.
About you
You are an infrastructure enthusiast who believes in “Infrastructure as Code.” You have a deep understanding of Linux environments and are comfortable managing web servers like Caddy or Nginx. You care deeply about security and data integrity—especially when handling sensitive patient records. You are proactive about monitoring and can troubleshoot complex network or server issues before they impact our users. Whether it’s optimizing a MySQL query or configuring an AWS EC2 instance, you strive for operational excellence.
Your Role at AyuCI
As our DevOps Engineer, you will:
- Infrastructure Management: Provision and maintain our AWS EC2 instances, ensuring they are optimized for cost and performance.
- Deployment Automation: Own and improve our CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless updates for our Next.js and Node.js applications.
- Security & Compliance: Implement rigorous security protocols, including SSL management via Caddy, firewall configurations, and HIPAA-compliant data encryption.
- Database Reliability: Manage our MySQL databases, focusing on automated backups, replication, and performance tuning.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS) and Vercel.
- Configure and maintain web servers (Caddy/Nginx) and reverse proxies.
- Automate scaling and deployment processes using GitHub Actions or similar tools.
- Implement centralized logging and monitoring (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch).
- Work closely with the development team to optimize application performance and resource usage.
- Handle disaster recovery planning and regular backup testing.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or System Administration.
- Strong proficiency with Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud networking.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration is a plus.
- Knowledge of the JavaScript ecosystem (Node.js/Next.js) from a deployment perspective.
- Experience with SSL/TLS configuration and web security best practices.
- Strong understanding of SQL database administration and optimization.
We offer you
- High Impact: Your work ensures that doctors can access critical patient data without interruption.
- Tech Autonomy: The freedom to choose and implement the best tools for our infrastructure needs.
- Flexible Work: A remote-friendly environment that respects your time and work-life balance.
- Growth Opportunity: Be the lead for our infrastructure team as Samarth Meditech continues to scale.
- Comprehensive Benefits: Competitive salary and full medical insurance.
