Frontend Developer (React/Next.js)
What is the role?
We are looking for a passionate Frontend Developer to join our core engineering team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the user-facing side of our AyuCI healthcare platform. Your primary focus will be creating highly responsive, accessible, and performant web applications that help doctors, nurses, and hospital staff manage patient care efficiently. You will bridge the gap between design and backend logic, ensuring a seamless experience across our EMR dashboards and patient portals.
About you
You are a developer who loves crafting clean, reusable code and has a sharp eye for UI/UX detail. You have deep experience with React and Next.js, and you understand how to manage complex state in large-scale applications. You aren’t just looking to “code a design”—you want to understand the user’s workflow to build features that truly solve problems. You value performance optimization, type safety with TypeScript, and modern styling approaches like Tailwind CSS or Material UI.
Your Role at AyuCI
As a Frontend Developer, you will:
- Develop Core Features: Build and ship high-quality features for the AyuCI EMR, including real-time lab reports, interactive prescriptions, and billing modules.
- Architecture & Scaling: Collaborate on the frontend architecture to ensure our Progressive Web App (PWA) remains fast and reliable even under heavy hospital workloads.
- Component Systems: Maintain and expand our internal design system to ensure visual consistency across all modules.
- Integration: Work closely with backend engineers to integrate RESTful APIs (FastAPI/Node.js) and handle real-time data flow via WebSockets.
Responsibilities
- Translate Figma designs into high-quality, responsive code using Tailwind CSS.
- Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues, including cross-browser compatibility and PWA caching.
- Write clean, documented, and testable code (Unit tests/Integration tests).
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
- Expert knowledge of React.js and Next.js (App Router experience preferred).
- Experience with state management libraries (Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or React Query).
- Deep understanding of CSS frameworks like Tailwind CSS or NativeWind.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows.
- Experience in Healthcare tech or Fintech is a plus but not mandatory.
